A Secured Web Services Based E-Commerce Model for SMME Using Digital Identity

This paper deals with redesigning the existing e-commerce architecture that has provided a platform for the large companies to sell their products so that it can provide a place on internet for Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME) companies to sell their products. E-commerce is to buy and sell the goods or services between vendors and purchasers electronically over the internet. Information shared among traders should have certain level of integrity and also authorization of the people. This paper includes the digital identity of the vendor with the help of MAC address. As the World Wide Web grows faster, the internet traffic automatically increases and so it is necessary to provide a reliable and quick request processing. The paper includes the concept of Web service which makes the request processing more reliable and also, the data transfer in the form of XML makes it easier to transmit and retrieve the information. And also it can be converted to any form required. This new architecture of the e-commerce model helps to achieve all the above with high efficiency.
